Patient lifts are used for a person who cannot transfer from one mode to another (ie. wheelchair to bed, bed to commode). Patient lifts can also be used to pickup someone that is on the floor. This device makes it easy enough for caregivers that could not normally assist.

There are two basic types of patient lifts: manual hydraulic and electric.  The manual hydraulic lifts have a manual pump to raise the boom and use a release valve to lower.  The electric lifts have an actuator which raises and lowers the boom which is controlled with an electric switch.

Electric lifts are not generally covered under insurance so the majority of the lifts we sell are the manual hydraulic.
