Job Summary:
Experience in mechanical assembly and/or repair of mechanical or electronic devices. Familiar with both hand and shop tools. Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be able to pass a background check. Compensation range is dependent on level of experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Repairs, delivers, and maintains durable medical equipment according to manufacturer's specifications
  • Must be able to drive and setup/delivery equipment
  • Ability to instruct and demonstrated equipment
  • Maintains repair area in a neat, clean, and organized condition
  • Accesses up-to-date information from manufacturers on repairs and parts
  • Strictly adheres to company policies and procedures
  • Participates in the Certified Repair Center (CRC) training program
  • Follows company procedures for battery care, including handling, storage, and disposal
  • Avails self to weekday and weekend on-call rotation if indicated by location of branch
  • Turns in work orders daily to Service Manager- service support staff
  • Follows billing guidelines such as verification status and watching for duplicate services
  • Collects co-payments if patient is responsible for a portion of the payment. Dollar amount must be communicated to patient ahead of time. Records payment on delivery ticket and gives money to Billing
  • Maintains company vehicle and assures vehicle safety
  • Properly tags all equipment brought into the shop
  • Delivery and set up of newand demo equipment and demos
  • Greets customers in a friendly manor whether they do or do not have an appointment
  • Calls manufacturer for necessary technical support
  • Regular attendance is essential
  • HIPAA and other compliance training
  • Performs other duties, as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skill and Experience

  • Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
    • High school diploma or GED highly preferred
  • Minimum Experience Required:
    • At least 2 years of directly related experience as mentioned above preferred
  • Skills Required:
    • Outstanding abilities in using tools
    • Analytical thinking
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
