Reliable Medical, leader in Home Medical Equipment and recipient of the 2014 National HME Excellence Award and the Star Tribune Top Workplaces in Minnesota award for the past six consecutive years, is looking for a full-time Repair and Delivery Technician to join our staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years experience in mechanical assembly and/or repair of mechanical or electronic devices.  Familiar with both hand and shop tools. Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.  Must be able to pass a background check.

Overall Responsibility:

  • Repairs and maintains durable medical equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Maintains repair area in a neat, clean, and organized condition.
  • Accesses up-to-date information from manufacturers' on repairs and parts.
  • Strictly adheres to company policy and procedure on Infection Control and Safety
  • Participates in the Certified Repair Center (CRC) training program.
  • Attends company in-services and views educational video tapes including Safety Shorts.
  • Follows company procedures for battery care, including handling, storage, and disposal.
  • Avails self to weekday and weekend on-call rotation if indicated by location of branch
  • Turns in work orders daily, including new orders for follow up, with description of services and part numbers to Service Manager.
  • Follows billing guidelines such as verification status and watching for duplicate services.
  • Collects co-payments if patient is responsible for a portion of the payment.  Dollar amount must be communicated to patient ahead of time.  Records payment on delivery ticket and gives money to Billing.
  • Maintains company vehicle and assures vehicle safety.  Ensures vehicle maintenance schedule is followed.  Performs daily vehicle safety checks; cleans vehicle interior daily and organizes vehicle inventory.  Once a week, cleans vehicle exterior.   Always wears seat belt. Complete the vehicle inspection checklist and record mileage
  • Properly tags all equipment brought into the shop.
  • Delivery and set up of equipment and demos.
  • Greets customers in a friendly manor whether they do or do not have an appointment.
  • Calls manufacturer for necessary technical support.
  • Practices and adheres to all HIPAA, HQAA and Compliance rules and regulations.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned by management.

Continuing Education:

  • Attends annual in-service on Infection Control
  • Attends in-services on new product and technology, including set-up and repair

  • HIPAA Training
