This person carries out a wide array of tasks relative to the process of receiving, storing and shipping goods. They will also help to maintain facility maintenance.
Essential Functions:
- Receives shipments, unpacks, tags, and places equipment/supplies in inventory. Matches packing slips to original purchase order, indicating received date on each line on the purchase order.
- Checks quantity and condition of materials received. Returns all defected shipments and communicates to AP/Purchasing to ensure appropriate credit to Reliable Medical Supply, Inc. If shipment OK, forwards packing list, bill of lading and purchase order to Accounts Payable for payment to vendors.
- Notifies CSR staff immediately via the purchase order that sales order has arrived.
- Stock shelves, maintain inventory, perform weekly and daily cycle counts, investigate discrepancies. Maintain perishable goods by rotating stock as required.
- Process orders for shipment and delivery.
- Conducting some wheelchair repairs/cleaning/complex assembly to both manual and power chairs as needed
- Good troubleshooting and repair skills (mechanical inclination, electrical troubleshooting or experience in PWC repair) is also essential
- Deliveries as needed
- Stage equipment for delivery personnel to ensure route scheduled are adhered too.
- Assist delivery staff in selection and loading of proper equipment and supplies.
- Assist loading and unloading customer vehicles as requested.
- Properly assemble and test new and rental equipment before delivery, as needed.
- Performs or assists in deliveries/pickups demonstrating proper operation of equipment when required.
- Maintains awareness of safety considerations in the warehouse, including use of the forklift, ladders, the movement of heavy equipment, and lifting and carrying.
- Clean warehouse and maintain in neat, organized condition. Empty trash, clean bathrooms, and ensure that trash is properly disposed of.
- Clean and stock showroom. Put price tags on all items on showroom
- Perform basic building maintenance as assigned.
- Keep sidewalks/entrances clear of snow in winter.
- Follow all privacy protocol in regard to work orders and shipping
- Practices and adheres to all HIPAA, HQAA and Compliance rules and regulations.

- Attend educational workshops as needed or assigned.
- HIPAA and other compliance training.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience
- Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
- Diploma or GED required.
Minimum Experience Required:
- At least 3-5 years of directly related experience as mentioned above required.
Skills Required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of departmental and company procedures and policies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Operate Brightree software.
